About the Strasburg Church of Christ

Who We Are

The Strasburg Church of Christ is a local congregation of Christians meeting in Strasburg, Virginia. We are a fellowship of believers made in God’s image and called as disciples of Christ to share the Good News through learning, listening, praying, and working together to reach our community.

We are a New Testament church. We try to adhere to the Bible as closely as possible. We have no creed books or man-made documents to guide our faith or worship. We have no earthly headquarters. Jesus Christ is the only head of the church (Ephesians 1:22-23).

What We Believe

Five things that set the church of Christ apart from many other religious groups:

1. We wear only one name — the name of Christ (Acts 4:12; Romans 16:16).
2. We have only one guidebook — the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
3. We have only one creed — the Bible itself (2 Peter 1:2-4).
4. We have only one head — Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:17-19; Ephesians 1:22-23).
5. We have no earthly headquarters — our headquarters are in heaven (Mark 16:19; Hebrews 12:22-24).

We invite you to examine these claims by the Scriptures for yourself.

Our Worship

We seek to worship God in spirit and in truth (John 4:24). Our assemblies include:

• Congregational singing (a cappella, following the New Testament pattern)
• Prayer
• The Lord’s Supper (every first day of the week)
• Preaching and teaching from the Word of God
• Giving as we have been prospered
